Running this weekend, from Thursday, July 14th through Sunday, July 17th, we’ll be at Oregon’s Salem Harley-Davidson for the big “Good Vibrations” motorcycle rally and charity event, going on in the Salem and Keizer area. The weekend offers a wide range of activities, from NHRA racing, live music, winery visits and a parade and poker run.

Recently our seat makers got the opportunity to build a custom seat for Jim Grant, owner and publisher of FlattrackWorld.com. Jim was kind enough to send us this photo of the seat, now installed on this great looking track machine.

Working from our tried-and-true Flat Track racing saddle design, our crafts people gave it a tough, durable and stylish “carbon-fiber” vinyl cover, with custom embroidery.

This past Saturday, June 11th, our “road warrior” product expert, Gary Smith, was on hand at Heritage Harley-Davidson, with the traveling Drag Specialties display truck. During his years on the front lines of customer service, Gary has assisted thousands of Saddlemen owners with installation and usage questions. His words of wisdom can help avoid problems and supply hints for getting the most out of our gear. For example, with our Back Seat & Sissy Bar Bags, like shown here, Gary has a couple of recommendations, “When installing any of our bags, always be sure to keep the mounting straps clear of the exhaust and wheels. Also, on the mounting straps for the sissy bar bags – they do not have to be pulled REALLY tight. It’s best to leave a little slack in the strap.”
